Arrival & parking
In the interests of sustainability, we recommend that you make use of the regular public transport connections to Schönbrunn - environmentally friendly, stress-free and convenient.
PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
Subway:
Take the U4 line to “Schönbrunn” station. The palace park entrance is just a few minutes' walk away.
Streetcar:
Lines 10 and 60 stop at “Schönbrunn Palace” station, from where you can easily reach the grounds.
Bus:
Use bus line 10A, which also stops at the “Schönbrunn Palace” station.
BY CAR
If you are arriving by car, there are parking spaces available at the APCOA parking lot Schönbrunn Vienna. The Christmas market and Schönbrunn Palace can be reached quickly from the parking lot (short walk). Electric charging stations are also available.
For people with special needs there are 3 parking spaces (disabled parking spaces) on the forecourt at the main gate of Schönbrunn.
FOR GROUPS WITH BUSES
At the APCOA Schönbrunn bus parking lot, buses can park directly on site for a fee, around the clock, seven days a week. From the parking lot you can easily reach the palace as well as the Christmas market and other sights.

The Schönbrunn Palace Christmas Market opens on 8 November at 10 a.m.
From 8 November to 23 December, the Christmas market is open daily from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
On 24 December, the Christmas market is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
From 25 December to 6 January, the Christmas market is open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The market is held in the parade court of Schönbrunn Palace. The address is Schönbrunn Palace, A-1130 Vienna. Entry is possible through the main gate, among other entrances.
No, admission to the Christmas market is free.

Yes, the market is fully accessible. There are three designated accessible parking spaces at the main gate (Schönbrunner Schlossstraße). Assistance dogs are, of course, welcome.
Wheelchair-accessible toilets are located in the visitor centre (left of the main entrance) and in the palace’s entrance hall. A separate accessible toilet in the market itself is also available with a key from the information desk.
Dogs, with the exception of assistance dogs, are not permitted at the Christmas market or on Schönbrunn Palace grounds.
No, bicycles and scooters are prohibited on Schönbrunn Palace grounds. Bicycle parking is available outside the main gate or the Meidling Gate.
Yes, restrooms, including an accessible toilet, are located beyond the arcades towards the Meidling Gate.

Pricing:
Children up to 14 years (born in or after 2010): €4.00 per pair
15 years and up (born in or before 2011): €5.00 per pair
Adults can accompany their children in overshoes or their own skates.
School classes are welcome! Students and chaperones can use the rink for free until 2 p.m. Skate rental is discounted from €5.00 to €4.00 per pair for students. Please register your class in advance to avoid disappointment. Register here: eislaufen@imperial-markets.at
