Dear musicians,

First things first: We firmly believe that professional art always deserves to be appropriately valued and rewarded. We are very sorry that the impression has arisen that we do not duly recognize the value of these important contributions.

 

Our message was sent in response to artists who approached us weeks and months ago with a request to perform at the Schönbrunn Palace Christmas Market. However, this type of performance was not planned for this year due to the high initial investment costs (for over 100 new huts, among other things).

 

Later, some artists suggested performing without financial compensation. We considered complying with this request and making these performances possible. In hindsight, we realize that this approach was wrong. We believe that art always deserves appropriate appreciation and remuneration and will continue to act accordingly in the future.
